What about photography and video recordings?
Pakawi Park is a coveted zoo for both hobbyist and professional photographers. The majority of our enclosures are ideal for making beautiful photographs.
You can freely take pictures or make videos to create lovely keepsakes of your visit. If the results are used professionally, we ask you to contact us.
Please keep in mind that in some buildings you are not allowed to use your flash. We wouldn’t want visitors to disturb the animals.
We often get asked whether visitors can take pictures with one of our animals.
For safety and welfare considerations for both humans and animals, we cannot do this.
Can I feed the animals?
Our animals are fed a balanced diet to ensure optimal health. That is why we are very strict and ask you to never feed the animals.
Suppose that every visitor tosses something to our animals, then all these small snacks quickly become a mountain of extras that can have serious consequences for their health. Even a small piece of fruit can cause problems for certain animal species because their digestion is not adapted to this.
Any deviation in what kind of or amount of food they get, can endanger the health of our animals.
If you have booked a tour in group, our guide will take you on an exciting trip through the park. The tour guides do have a bag of food for certain monkey species, for example, that is tailored to their daily diet. In the summer, you can also attend the feeding talks that are held at specific hours in the park.
Are the animals outside in very cold weather?
In very cold weather, our animals can choose whether they stay in their enclosure or go outside. You can also admire the animals indoors at various places, for example in the reptile corridor (Reptielengang) or the tropical hall (Tropenhal). Many enclosures also have windows to the indoor enclosures.
In short, a winter walk in Pakawi Park is not only very cosy, but you will certainly also be able to see a lot of animals.
Can I bring my bicycle, walking bike or (electric) scooter to the park?
